Hi!

Great post, very useful and very clear.
We have followed your steps:
- In AD we have binary data in thumbnailPhoto attribute
- We run a full profile sync
- We executed
'Update-SPProfilePhotoStore -CreateThumbnailsForImportedPhotos 1 -MySiteHostLocation
http:///mysite'
The command is executed with no errors.

But in User Profile we don't see any photo, library 'http://srv/mysite/User%20Photos/Forms/AllItems.aspx' is empty.

Please, could you tell us what we should check?

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks Guys.

We are having a FBA based site. It looks like update command works well when my sync connection is windows based and claimsuseridentifer is not mapped.
In our case we need the conn to be forms based and claims user identifier - > samAccountName.
" Error processing the photo URL User Photos/Profile
Pictures/0c37852b-34d0-418e-91c6-2ac25af4be5b_156.jpg for user i:0#.f|ad|......
: System.UriFormatException: Invalid URI: A Dos path must be rooted, for
example, 'c:\'."

Any help will be useful

@[--] XSLT works clientside, so the columns you base your conditional formatting on, should definitelly be available in the view. Once you delete those columns from the view, you formatting is not applied, since the operators have no conditions to match it to.

I've got another question: how can I package conditional formatting? I would like that the conditional formatting is available on sites I create with PowerShell. If I export my site to WSP, there is no reference to the XSLT changes I've made to the view. Where are these changes stored, if it cames to XML solution packaging?

With regards,
Bastiaan

Use PowerShell - SharePoint 2010 Management Shell as follows.
1. Upload the graphic -- say KRES-icon.gif -- to a library at the site collection level, e.g. Site Collection Images. A Url like /SiteCollectionImages/KRES-icon.gif will now work within the context of any subsite in that site collection.
2. Logged in to the SharePoint server as the Farm account (must have enough perms to run SharePoint 2010 Management Shell): Start - Microsoft SharePoint 2010 Products --> SharePoint 2010 Management Shell.
3. Key in the following PowerShell commands (assuming subsite located at http://portal.kres.com/Accounting):
      $accounting = get-SpWeb http://portal.kres.com/Accounting
      $accounting.SiteLogoUrl = "/SiteCollectionImages/KRES-icon.gif"
      $accounting.Update()
